Shiraz 2011.
Date 12/07/12
Time 19:00
Food None
Brand Shiraz
Grape Shiraz
Year 2011
Price NZ$15.99
Secured from the FMCG outfit, Countdown, this is a red. On the back it says that it is a 'Wine of Australia'.
Hmmm.
It also says that it is produced for a local company based in Mon' je ree. Locally loved and referred to as...Mangere.
It tastes ok.
First mouthful was a bit, "Fuck, did you flick some ash in here?".
The second, like the first but fruitier.
Fruitier.
Regardless, went down pretty quick, but I have those big fuck off wine glasses, like a bucket.
It's ok.
Pricing probably a bit high for what it is, but, I'm in the zone and facebooking hardcore.
Enjoy.

I've had this before too.
Was good for the price.
I thought I'd check out their website and have a looksey. Prior to consumption.
It is one of those pages that has shit following you as you scroll up or down.
Very annoying.
I pretty much zoomed through the site, the yellow kept reminding me of work.
<gah!>
OK lets drink it and see if it is as good second time around, unlike that 'watery-gag-reflex' I drank last night.

I have reviewed this before and given the area I have moved to, I felt that this Shiraz was perfect. No, I'm not living on a cliff where I can see whales. I'm in South Auckland.
Actually...
First taste is kind of meh really.
Second taste is similar to the first one. Kind of meh.
Alrighty - Back when it's finished!!!!

Hmmm, So this is about as eventful as a reused wank sock.

Brand Esk Valley
Grape Syrah
Year 2010
Price NZ$no idea...
So, I was given this bottle as a belated birthday present.
Nice.
I never told anyone I had my birthday on that fateful Jan 28th day, so expected nothing, the universe in all its glory reciprocated. And gave me nothing.
My facebook posts illustrated this too.
I wasn't checking. Honest.
Any-ha-ways.
The "Syrah".
As you may know, not a favourite of mine. With the exception of the Matakana that I received once as a leaving present. That shit was amazing. And. I shared it with an ex-girlfriend who left NZ to get married and "spend the rest of her life in japan". The company was great, the stories bold, and the nostalgia in real-time. I almost shed a tear at what I had lost. And didn't.
The dinner we had following was amazing courtesy of a local Italian restaurant, one I had walked past often and never stepped foot inside. The mood was great, the food fine, and the wine available only increased the vibe.
We talked and laughed, and we reminisced, it was true;y a night devoid of bullshit self imposed stigmata, devoid of "what ifs", and devoid of bullshit... it was nice.
Now.
The Syrah.
It was the opposite of this night.
It was horrible, not the Matakana, don't get mixed up now...
The Esk Valley.
If I described life in i
10 Print " do you like esk valley syrah 2010"
20 input y/n
30 if y then print "vomit"
40 if n then print "vomit"
50 end
or something like that...
peace.
